Savitribai Phule First teacher	1831-1897	Direct instrument	She walked through thrown dung and stones to open the classroom. Every primer in a Dalit child's hand is a continuation of that walk.
Fatima Sheikh Keeper of the school	19th century	Chosen devotee	She offered her house when the street refused a room. Hospitality became a theological act.
